Directions
Safe Handling Instructions: This product was prepared from inspected and passed meat and/or poultry. Some food products may contain bacteria that could cause illness if the product is mishandled or cooked improperly. For your protection. Follow these safe handling instructions. Keep refrigerated or frozen. Thaw in refrigerator or microwave. Keep raw meat and poultry separate from other foods. Wash working surfaces (including cutting boards), utensils, and hands after touching raw meat or poultry. Cook thoroughly. Keep hot foods hot. Refrigerate leftovers immediately or discard.
Cooking instructions: Preparation: Due to differences in cooking equipment, cooking times may vary. Grill (Preferred Method): Preheat grill to medium-low heat. Grill sausage covered for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently for even browning until sausage is thoroughly cooked. Stove top: Bring 1 cup water to boil in a large skillet. Carefully add sausage; cover. Reduce heat; simmer for 15 minutes. Drain water and brown sausage for 3-5 minutes, turning frequently until sausage is thoroughly cooked. Cook to a minimum of 165 degree F internal temperature. Color is not an accurate indicator of final cooked temperature.
