Authentic Grenadine: Although the origins of grenadine are unknown, the syrup was historically made by crushing lush pomegranate seeds to make juice and blending it with sugar. Over the last 40 years, commercial grenadine has devolved from its origins to include no more than artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup. Stirrings has gone back and created the product the way it was intended: bold red, sweet, with a bright pomegranate flavor.
