Our County Collection Viognier is sourced from two longtime family-farmed vineyards near the town of Hopland in Mendocino County. The first is the Milovino family, who began farming pears in the 1960s before transitioning into grape growing in the 1970s. The second is the Ashurst family, trusted partners of Cline's since the early 2000s. Both vineyards consistently achieve ideal ripeness, and we harvest at the peak of flavor development. Viognier is a notoriously challenging variety, it buds early and is vulnerable to spring frost, while its thick skins require patience to achieve full flavor potential. The vineyards benefit from warm, sunny days and cool nighttime temperatures, resulting in a Viognier with generous body, rich aromatics, and vibrant natural acidity. The grapes were hand-picked and destemmed before being gently transferred to the press. The juice was chilled and cold-settled before fermentation in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks. A slow, cold fermentation helped preserve the wine’s delicate floral aromatics and vibrant stone fruit character.

  • Medium bodied, with a balanced, rich, and creamy acidity followed by a long and rich finish
  • Vegan Friendly & Gluten Free
