Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Did you know that the chocolate chip was invented in 1937? There are plenty of ways to celebrate National Chocolate Chip Day, but we’re going to go classic and share a delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe that will please the whole family. If you feel like this recipe is too plain, add crushed walnuts or chopped dried fruit to the mix!
2 1/4 of all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. of baking soda
1 stick of unsalted butter
1 cup of brown sugar
1 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 cups of semisweet chocolate chunks
Heat oven to 375°. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl. In another bowl, mix butter, sugar, and vanilla, and beat until smooth and fluffy. Add yolks and beat. Then, add the dry ingredients and stir until combined. Don’t forget to add the chocolate chunks!
Scoop the dough with a tablespoon and roll into balls, and space them on your pan about 2 inches apart. Bake until golden, usually around 15 minutes or less. Enjoy!
