Lavender Fabric Softener
Calming lavender essential oil is great for minimizing mildew making it the perfect addition to laundry. And you may think Epsom salts are only for soaking sore muscles but this naturally occurring mineral also softens fabrics.
2 cups Epsom salts
30 drops NOW lavender essential oil
1/2 cup baking soda
Pour Epsom salts and baking soda into large glass container, add essential oil and stir well to combine. Use 1/4 cup for medium to large loads in the wash cycle
at any temperature.
Rosemary & Lemon Wood Cutting Board Scrub
Rosemary is great for its antibacterial, antiviral and disinfecting properties. This salt scrub is great for eliminating sticky or greasy substances and the ideal way to clean wood boards without the drying effects of harsh soaps. And it smells fantastic!
1/4 cup coarse salt
5 drops NOW rosemary essential oil
Lemon, cut in half
In a small bowl combine salt and rosemary essential oil. Sprinkle salt mixture on cutting board. Using half a lemon with the cut side down, scour the wood surface squeezing slightly to release the lemon juice. Let sit for 5 minutes, then scrape residue into compost and discard. Rinse cutting board under warm water and let dry.
Tea Tree Rosemary Kitchen Cleaner
This all-around useful household cleaner is great for kitchen messes. Tea tree oil is a cleaning powerhouse with antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral qualities.
1 part white vinegar
1 part water
15-25 drops of NOW tea tree essential oil
3 sprigs of rosemary
In a glass spray bottle, combine all ingredients and shake well.
