Pickled Red Onions
1/2 cup golden balsamic vinegar 1/4 cup water 2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp kosher salt Fresh ground pepper, to taste 1/2 red onion, sliced into thin half-moons
Combine vinegar, water, sugar, kosher salt and pepper in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce the heat and add the onions; stirring occasionally for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Drain the pickled onions.
