Make Meatballs a Meal

While spaghetti and meatballs are a match made in culinary heaven, here at Haggen we’re stepping up our meatball game with three new flavors inspired by spices from around the world. Italy may have made the meatball a common household dish, but early meatball recipes can be found around the globe including Asia, Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and even South America. Our new Chipotle, Teriyaki and Enchilada meatballs pay homage to the worldliness of everyone’s favorite sphere of meat.

All our meatballs are great for Game Day as a quick and easy finger food. Just poke with a paddle pick or toothpick and you’ve got a mouth-watering snack to feed even the hungriest fans. To get your creativity flowing, here’s a few ways to incorporate our newest editions of our meatball family into everyday meals:

Enchilada Meatball Taco Salad – Using a tostada shell or tortilla chips as a base, layer with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, shredded cheese, cilantro, olives, sour cream, salsa and top with a few of our warm Enchilada Meatballs.

Teriyaki Meatball Stir Fry – On a bed of Jasmine rice add stir fried vegetables and a few of our hot Teriyaki Meatballs. Garnish with chopped green onion.

Chipotle Meatball Torta – Fill a Kaiser roll with a layer of guacamole, shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onions and a few warm Chipotle Meatballs. Top with crumbled cotija cheese, pickled jalapenos and hot sauce.
