Knock Your ‘Stache Off Chili Recipe

Our Pro Tip: Chili tastes better after sitting a while, to let the flavors meld. If possible, cook it a day ahead, refrigerate overnight, and then reheat an hour or two before serving. It’s worth it!
1 lb grass fed ground beef
1 lb Haggen breakfast sausage
1 pasilla pepper
2 Anaheim peppers
1 large sweet onion
Salt and pepper to taste
3 cloves of garlic, minced
3 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. chipotle powder
1 tsp. paprika
a few dashes of Tabasco, Cholula, and Pete’s Killer Hot Sauce (this will depend on how hot you want it to be)
1 (15 oz) can Haggen stewed tomatoes with chilies
2 (15 oz) cans Haggen tomato sauce
1/4 cup 100% grade B maple syrup
1/4 cup Velveeta (optional)
Brown and drain the ground beef and breakfast sausage. Then chop and brown the onion and peppers in a large saucepan. Add in the rest of the ingredients in the order listed above. Let simmer for 1 to 2 hours. Cool in a large flat pan covered in refrigerator overnight. This tastes even more delicious on the second day.
