Always Greener on the Grass Fed Side

While the grass fed phenomenon is nothing new—grass is a cow’s native diet and what they’ve been raised on since the dawn of agriculture—the grass fed movement gets back to basics on how cows can live healthy, happy lives. And doesn’t everyone want their food to come from a happy place?

Grass-fed benefits include:

More nutritious due to the animals’ healthier, natural diet.

No antibiotics or synthetic hormones since the cows are already healthy in their natural pasture grazing mode.

Better for the environment since pasture-roaming animals can organically fertilize over a wide area and diminish the waste control issue common with factory-farming.

Look for Organic Valley Pasture Butter and Grassmilk Yogurt in our refrigerated section for artisanal quality grass fed dairy that delivers a bigger dose of Omega-3 than conventional milk.
