Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration

Retaining expanded format with support from Port of Bellingham, Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The Haggen Family 4th of July Celebration is seeking bands and vendors for this year’s festivities at Bellingham’s Zuanich Point Park.

Haggen Food & Pharmacy stores, in partnership with the Port of Bellingham and Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce & Industry, are presenting a day of entertainment, food and fun. Haggen has been the primary sponsor of the Bellingham fireworks display, one of the largest in the state, since 1995.

“The Port of Bellingham is pleased to once again support these Independence Day festivities and provide live music in the park to all,” said Port Commission President Michael McAuley. “I hope everyone makes it out to the waterfront on July 4 to enjoy the festivities.”

Live music, children’s activities and vendor booths offering food, crafts and more – all introduced for the first time in 2009 – will be presented at Zuanich Point Park during the hours leading up to the fireworks show. All activities will be free, but vendors will charge for their wares. With the added features, the July 4 celebration has drawn an estimated average of 10,000 people the last two years to Zuanich Point Park.

”They are the best seats in the house,” said Sheila Connors, Marketing & Events Director for the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber.

“We’re hopeful many families will make plans to join us for a fun celebration on Bellingham’s waterfront,” said Haggen spokesperson Becky Skaggs.
