BELLINGHAM, Wash. — May 1, 2013 — Haggen, Inc. is unveiling Haggen Northwest Fresh Marysville, the newest location for its Haggen Northwest Fresh concept stores. The former Haggen Food & Pharmacy store, located in Marysville, Washington, will officially reopen on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and other festivities.
“Haggen Northwest Fresh provides a grocery experience that is unique to this region,” said Clement Stevens, Senior Vice President of Merchandising at Haggen, Inc. “Northwest Fresh is our promise to deliver homegrown quality and delightful experiences while supporting a connected community and sustainable local food economy. We are excited to bring this experience to the Ferndale community.”
Haggen, Washington’s oldest and largest independent grocery retailer, launched its Haggen Northwest Fresh brand and concept store model in 2011. Northwest Fresh blossomed from the company’s 80-year history of supporting Northwest farms, ranches, fisheries and other businesses, creating a lasting and sustainable local food economy, plus its commitment to the communities it serves in Washington and Oregon.
As a Haggen Northwest Fresh store, the Ferndale location will feature an even greater number of local and regional products, plus new branding throughout the store. There will also be an increased focus on the customer experience and the store’s community involvement.
