From locally sourced feed and grain to the Northwest’s extensive use of hydro-electric power, it all adds up to a carbon footprint 41% lower than mid-west ranches. Here are some of the ways the people of Double R Ranch beef are committed to sustainability:

  • Their composting program allows them to produce sustainable, nutrient rich fertilizer for local farms.
  • They practice a rotational grazing program which helps keep their mountain pastures thriving and their cattle happy.
  • They source over 95% of their cattle feed from local farmers. 
  • 95% of the packing plant’s water is reclaimed through their water treatment program.
