Notice to recently converted Haggen stores:

Right now, our School Bucks program is limited to our core 18 stores, where we have a loyalty card program established. We use the card to keep track of how much money is being raised for each school, and to give our customers the ability to link their school to their own grocery purchases.

While we don’t currently have a card program in place in our new stores, we will be looking into that possibility once our conversions are complete and we have all of the basic Haggen infrastructure in place. If we establish School Bucks in your community, we’ll be sure to let you know!

What is it?

School Bucks is an easy way for our community’s schools to earn money for educational equipment and materials.

Fundraising with School Bucks is simple and convenient, and makes the most of what we all do—shop for groceries! When Haggen CARD members purchase participating School Bucks products, Haggen will contribute a percentage of the sale of each item directly to the local school (public or private, preschool through 12th grade) of that Haggen CARD member’s choosing.

First: Link your Haggen CARD to your school one of the following ways</>

The school of your choice is linked to your Haggen CARD until May 15 each year. Ask your friends and family to link their Haggen CARD to your school, too. They don’t even have to live near your school, they just have to link their Haggen CARD and shop at their local Haggen store. The more people linked to your school, the more money your school can earn.

*Note: All Haggen CARDs must be linked or re-linked to the school of your choice each school year.

Then: Purchase participating School Bucks products with your Haggen CARD and Haggen will contribute a percentage of the sale to your school.

There are thousands of School Bucks items throughout the store. All participating School Bucks items are marked with the School Bucks logo.

How long does the program run?

You can earn money for your school from September 3 – May 15 each year.

How do you know what your school has earned?

Check with your schools School Bucks Representative (typically the school principal or PTA). They receive monthly updates on your progress.

School Bucks is easy both for our schools and for our customers. Every time you purchase a participating School Bucks item Haggen donates funds directly to your school where they can be used to purchase educational equipment and materials based on your individual school’s needs.
