Nature’s perfect energy drink is loaded with antioxidants, probiotics and B vitamin, and now this natural body boost is available on tap at our Bellingham Meridian store. Fill up one of our growlers or your own with locally crafted Humm Kombucha from Bend, Oregon. Flavors on tap include: Pomegranate Lemonade, Lemon Ginger, Blueberry Mint and Coconut Lime.

For those not familiar with this fermented tea, we’ll start with a brief history lesson. The story goes that this ancient tea originated in Asia around 200 BC. Known as the “Remedy for Immortality”, it quickly spread through Russia then around the world. This living drink is made by fermenting green and black tea with sugar and the Kombucha culture known as  S.C.O.B.Y. (Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast). The process of fermentation happens as the culture digests the sugar for 10-14 days, creating a yummy drink low in caffeine and sugar.
