Join us as we celebrate 81 years of service and community with our 1-Day Sale on Saturday, Oct. 25As we celebrate our 81st birthday, we proudly reflect on how we’ve grown since 1933, when Ben and Dorothy Haggen and Doug Clark opened their first store on Bay Street in Bellingham. A lot has changed since Ben started with a dream and $1,100—a dream that became a reality with the support of customers who were friends and neighbors.

It takes a special kind of community to grow a store like ours. Haggen continually strives to sustain partnerships with Northwest farms, ranchers, fisheries and businesses to bring you the very best. It’s been our passion to serve our customers with freshness and quality for over 80 years.

We think a birthday is a time to celebrate not just growth and change, but also the community values we’ve held on to. Our dedicated employees continue to make sure that Haggen customers receive the same quality and service that the company’s founders offered their friends and neighbors decades ago.
